This is Hope
A radiant beam of light
Shines from her round and smiling face.
She sees the world through gentle eyes
And freely gives embrace.
Though not always through gentle eyes
Does the world see this child.
They look at her and whisper,
Though she greets them with a smile.
She does have imperfections in the world's imperfect view,
But in human imperfections does the Lord's beauty shine through.
For we must remember when we feel we're on a slope
That God has made not one mistake,
And truly, this is Hope.
